AI Fast-Track for Market Entry: Prototype Development for the Startup Entendix

Entendix GmbH from Cologne is an innovative startup in the building automation sector. Their unique selling proposition is an AI-based onboarding process that drastically accelerates the setup and use of complex building control systems. When Entendix approached us, it was clear: They were under market pressure – and they needed a quick, effective solution to showcase their technology in the market. Not a classic large-scale project, but an agile fast-track approach. This is exactly where our joint journey began.

From Prototype to Market-Ready MVP

In our first conversation, we immediately sensed: Entendix wasn't simply looking for a service provider. They were looking for a partner who thinks alongside them and understands their vision. Their answer to our question about what they most urgently needed was clear: "A prototype we can immediately take to potential customers."
Together, we developed the fast-track idea: a lean, functional MVP that makes Entendix's AI expertise visible and tangible – while remaining flexible enough for future developments.

Our Role: Pathfinders and Enablers

Our task was to create a web-based application in the shortest possible time that visualizes and analyzes technical system data – quickly, comprehensibly, robustly. The foundation was an initial Vue.js prototype, which we transformed both conceptually and technically into a sustainable TypeScript architecture. The application needed to not only enable initial customer meetings but also provide a reliable basis for further development.

We deliberately chose modern frontend technologies: Vue.js combined with TypeScript and centralized state management via Pinia. A specially developed middleware prepared the system data structured according to the BACtwin standard so that it could be used quickly and intuitively in the frontend. Reusable UI components ensured scalability and modular expandability.

Collaboration as Equals

What made our collaboration special was the partnership spirit. We managed tasks transparently and agilely through a shared Notion board. Domain expertise, design, and development worked so closely together that new requirements from practical experience could be flexibly incorporated at any time.

A moment that has remained particularly vivid in our memory:
"Are you actually this likeable – or is it just part of your job?"

A remark from a feedback conversation that means much more to us than a compliment – it represents the genuine trust and openness that carried our joint project.

Challenges and Solutions

The biggest technical challenge was processing the complex, structured system data. With targeted aggregation logic and optimized backend communication, we created an architecture that made this complexity transparent and understandable for users – without sacrificing speed or usability.

After about three months of development time, a functional MVP was ready that not only convinced functionally but also enabled Entendix to present their USP clearly and tangibly. The open, dialogical collaboration was particularly highlighted as positive – for us one of the most important success factors in this project.
